Also I have noticed a difference in number of snags between weedless and non-weedless lures throwing into weeds and grass. In the non peek times I have noticed only certain lures will work. At peek fishing times any color lure will work. I like to troll with the aluminum boat in the large open area on blue crab Island using shads I get more catches with the black shad than I do with the white shad during these times. Low light conditions and night time I seem to have better luck with dark colors. In my opinion lure colors seem to have an effect in the game based on time of day not necessarily the weather. I have done some testing on lures and leaders but not on any lines other than being able to cast further with braid. Now the question is does these line mechanics apply to in game? Finally, it is the most visible line, which may make fish less likely to bite and due to it's positive bouyancy, it also floats. The smaller diameter allows you to load more of it on a reel than you could with the other two types of line. The tensile strength of braided line is much higher than mono or fluoro lines of the same diameter, allowing you to power through snags or more easily land larger fish than if you used the other two types. Fluro line also has a higher tensile strength than mono of the same diameter.īraided line, also called Superline, is your most expensive choice. It is more sensitive to light bites and sinks faster than mono line. It is the least visible line available and has a higher abrasion resistance than mono line which can help with snags. Finally, Mono is more visible than fluoro but less visible than braid, which can affect a fishes tendency to bite.įluorocarbon line is your moderately priced line. It also has near neutral bouyancy which means it will sink slowly. It has more stretch than fluoro and braid, which translates to a more forgiving hookset but makes it more difficult to detect subtle bites or hits against structures. (Note: Some of this info may not translate in game yet) There are three types of line Monofilament, Fluorocarbon and Braided. From their web site: I do not really know if it is implemented?
